Jose Lages da Silva Neto is a D.Sc. student in Mechanical Engineering at Rio de Janeiro State Univeristy UERJ. His research focuses on heat transfer in extended surfaces, with emphasis on mathematical modeling, numerical methods, and nonlinear thermal radiation problems. His current work involves the analysis of conduction–radiation heat transfer using finite element methods and variational formulations. He is associated with LabMFA research in computational mechanics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and numerical methods under the supervision of Prof. Eduardo Dias Correa, Prof. Rogério Saldanha and Prof. Gustavo R. Anjos.
