The exact location of the laboratory can be found here. There is a bus terminal inside the campus that provides access to several regions of the city through many available bus lines (more). Campus shuttle buses (especially lines 1, 4, and 5) may also be used to reach the Center of Technology (CT) (more info).

The LabMFA is located in room I-102 of the Center of Technology (CT) at the Ilha do Fundão campus of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). The laboratory is situated on the ground floor of the I Building, immediately behind the C Building, where several COPPE/UFRJ laboratories are located. The Department of Mechanical Engineering (DEM/PEM) is located on the second floor of the G Building, approximately 7 minutes away on foot from the laboratory.

For visitors arriving by car, the most convenient parking area is the parking lot highlighted in blue on the right-hand side of the map, located immediately beside the laboratory entrance. This parking lot is the closest access point to the LabMFA and is strongly recommended for first-time visitors. A second and larger parking lot is also available along Av. Horácio Macedo, in front of the Center of Technology.

As shown in the map below, the laboratory can be accessed directly from the internal circulation area between the I Building and the parking lot. Visitors entering the campus through Av. Pedro Calmon should follow the main internal road toward the Center of Technology and proceed to the side parking area adjacent to the I Building.
